Selle Italia C2 Gel Flow Saddle

The Selle Italia C2 Gel Flow saddle provides the rider with a versatile saddle that will perform well on the road and over rough terrain. The weight of the saddle is a compromise between the very light racing saddles and the more substantial mountain bike seats.

The anatomical relief cut-out in the center of the saddle and the inclusion of silicon gel inserts to augment the existing seat padding are only two of the measures taken to turn this all-terrain saddle into a more comfortable option. In this case the name given to the padding that is used in theC2 is differentiated thickness and this sits underneath a breathable leather saddle that not only provides plenty of durability but also gives the saddle an attractive appearance.

"Bought this saddle to replace my OEM on Specialized Rockhopper Pro MTB which though comfy squeaked like mad after only a short period of use.The Selle is firm but well designed with support in the right places. It is very slim so little or no chafing and legs feel really free to pump.Looks good and has a quality feel to it.Have only had it for a short while but early indications are favourable and I hope that it doesn't develop any downsides after more prolonged use. Very impressed with ease of ordering and prompt delivery by CRC."

This is the 3rd saddle I've tried since buying my new bike and I think I've finally found The One!
A saddle I find to be a very personal thing, I tried other saddles that came highly recommended by friends and yet none of them seemed to sit right with me.
This seems to be the one, my behind no longer feels bruised after only 15 miles of riding, I no longer have that numbness in my never regions!
The saddle itself is very well made with a quality leather, and gel cushioned in all the right places and it's great looking, it's been designed with anatomy in mind, the cut out in the middle stopping pressure being built up allowing blood to flow where it needs to and stopping the numbness in the never regions, I was quite sceptical about that , but it does seem to work.
For me it seems to be the saddle that works, but as I said earlier a saddle seems to be a personal thing.

"After riding several different seats across several brands, this has been the most comfortable. As they are anatomically designed, it provides comfort on long rides as well as being rigid enough when on a seated sprint.
In all, it is a fantastic well rounded seat that has seen me use to compete in triathlons and use on day long rides without the soreness associated."

Having upgraded from a cushiony WTB on my al hardtail, the firmness of this saddle took some getting used to, but after the first 20 k's or so it's definitely more comfortable than my old saddle. Still looks like new after several hundred k's. Heavier than some, but if you're on a budget and don't need to shave off every gram I'd recommend the c2.

"comfy straight out the box, no "adjusting" period. firm towards the front end, nicely cushioned at he back. cheaper than most high end saddles too! would be good to have an all black option to match my bike better, but after all no one actually sees the saddle when you're riding!"

A well built saddle which may seem hard at the outset but gets more comfortable as you wear it in. My only slight concern is that it has already developed "sqeaks" which I suspect are caused by movement in the small screws holding the saddle together. That said my old saddle-Specialized OEM-was much worse even after constantly tightening the screws.Provided you can live with these noises the saddle should prove to be a good long term purchase.

Saddles are a matter of personal preference; most people change saddle and pedals on buying a bike; this is a good quality road saddle which should be comfortable for a Sportive or all day ride. Different rails affect weight if you are obsessive but most people (like me) would save most weight by dieting. Quality is very good.

"The seat that came with the Fuji was OK but thought I'd lash out and buy something a bit more comfortable for the long rides. Not bad but didn't feel any different, so in hind sight would not have purchased."

I dont normally like to wear padded pants. and when I dont, this saddle is painful! It looks the works on the bike. in fact it looks better than it functions! a cheap specialized BG does a much better job. I think S are by far better researched and designed anatomical saddles. ace for italian clothings but not this saddle, sorry.

"Not a bad saddle, especially for the price, but I found on long rides it was not really supporting my sit bones. I think it was more to do with me needing a wider saddle than this actually been a bad saddle. I have recently bought a specialized romin 155mm saddle and it is the best saddle I have ever owned. Highly recommend it."
